Our Services
HomeGround is an independent, not-for-profit and secular organisation, working in the areas of homelessness, housing, community development and social change.
HomeGround’s vision is to end homelessness in Melbourne.
HomeGround’s mission is to get people housed and keep people housed.
HomeGround is experienced and committed to working in partnership with government, local government, philanthropic organisations and other community organisations.
HomeGround has a unique combination of experience delivering high volume housing and homeless services to people in crisis, providing property and tenancy management services to over 350 properties, providing short and long-term support services to people who are homeless as well as providing long term support services to people who have experienced homelessness in the past.
HomeGround currently works across homelessness and housing, Criminal Justice, Mental Health, Primary Health, Aged Care and Home and Community Care. In doing so, HomeGround brings a housing focused approach to these quite separate systems. During 06-07, HomeGround assisted over 11,000 households through 23,000 contacts.
We’re housing people - helping people to find homes, and supporting them to stay there. We’ve been doing this in Melbourne’s inner suburbs for over 15 years and we know what works.
HomeGround does this through taking the risks to explore and act on new initiatives, through quality service provision, research, community education, by advocating for policy and social change, and forming strategic alliances to advance our cause.
